Overview of the role
This role will be responsible for finding, pitching to, and qualifying new business opportunities for Sourceful. They will help grow the pipeline at Sourceful in our journey to explosive growth. Be one of the early members of the BDR team generating opportunities focused on outbound leads. Opportunity to grow into a closing or leadership position.
You’ll report into:
Katy Svennas (VP Growth) and then to an SDR leader
What your days at Sourceful will look like
- As an Outbound BDR, your role will consist in finding and convincing companies to use the Sourceful Platform to get packaging that’s better for them and the planet!
- You will create prospect lists by researching and identifying relevant businesses that meet our target profile. You will identify and connect with their key decision makers via a mixture of LinkedIn, email outreach and phone calls
- You will be introducing and pitching Sourceful to these new customers, identifying their pains, uncovering opportunities through email outreach, video pods and video or calls
- You’ll qualify the leads by asking them the right questions to understand their needs and the opportunity, and then once qualified hand them to a Client Relationship Manager /Account Executive
- You’ll have the autonomy, tools and volume of leads needed to maximise your time and to ensure targets are met
- In a nutshell, your day would consist in: 60% research, calls, and qualification of leads (through calling, live chat, emails, or video calls), 30% following-up, 10% reporting and L&D.
The skills and experience that will help you to thrive in your role
- You are high energy, ambitious, hard-working, well organised and a fast-learner
- You have the ability to communicate in a warm, energetic, friendly yet professional manner, to foster trust and connection with diverse individuals through phone and video calls
- You have experience in an outbound B2B sales environment
- Excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills
- You are comfortable with picking up the phone and cold-calling a range of prospects at senior levels in small to mid-market companies (CEO/Cofounder/Director)
- You are motivated by hitting targets
- Creative and open to new approaches for engagement, prospecting, and lead conversion
- Willing to learn, leans into new challenges through critical thinking and a practical approach
Desirable skills
- Experience using Outreach, Salesforce, working in a start-up or Tech company
