Sourceful exists to provide better solutions for the planet by working with businesses looking to reduce their carbon footprint through smarter packaging. We are VC-backed (Index Ventures, Eka and Coatue) and most recently raised $20m in 2021.

What will your days look like

• Managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department
• Preparing and posting monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
• Driving the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices
• Providing analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and recommendations to senior management regarding changes that may affect the company’s performance
• Managing an end-to-end audit process of current systems – while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors
• Continually identify risks to delivery, proposing solutions where necessary and effectively managing stakeholder expectations throughout
• Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts
• Leading the team and being responsible for tax compliance processes(VAT report)
• Supporting the team in the budgeting and forecasting process

About you

• You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT), with 1+ years post-qualification experience.

• You possess strong technical accounting knowledge and the ability to think fast
• You’re proficient in Excel
• You have experience with statutory accounts as well as experience with accounting software, e.g. Xero, Sage, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics
• You’re able to monitor team progress to ensure the smooth execution of finance function tasks
• You’re able to challenge teams on existing protocols and provide innovative solutions to enhance process efficiency
• You have proven ability to communicate with an impact to internal departments and are able to resolve disagreements independently
